Byron White U.S. Courthouse Limited Scope Upgrades
Interior and exterior renovations to a 241,123-sq. ft. historic courthouse built in 1916. The stone building contains four floors, a penthouse and basement and was fully occupied and operational during construction.
Scope highlights include:
Upgraded the fire protection system to meet current NFPA standards
Replaced the steam heating and hot water system with gas-fired boilers and domestic water heaters
Modified electrical and lighting systems for increased energy efficiency
Restored the exterior marble and limestone cladding
New storm windows including ballistic glazing in designated areas
