Tribal One successfully replaced and expanded all IT and LAN fiber optic and copper cabling and established a new MDF and eight new IDF’s in five headquarters buildings at Crater Lake National Park.

The scope of work included:

  • New fiber optic cabling, terminations, splicing and certification to extend and repair building data service and interconnection
  • Install and certify approximately 9.3 miles of Cat 6A cabling in new conduit providing 627 new voice and data ports within 5 buildings
  • New conduit installation and pull boxes in existing crawl spaces, attics, walls and surface mounted
  • Extend existing outside plant fiber optic cabling to establish one new Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and eight new Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs)
  • Maintaining the historic integrity of each building’s finishes during the installation
  • Demolition and finish repairs as needed for wall, ceiling and floor data conduit access
  • Maintain fire ratings at rated wall and floor penetration
  • Install ventilation in new IDF Closets
  • Install new 20-amp circuits
