This project required the upgraded all Information Transport System Inside Plant components in Building 320 and added additional ITS ISP components in Building 380 on the Portland Air National Guard Base.

Scope of work highlights:

  • Project included, main communication connection/cross-connections, communications equipment rooms, telecommunications rooms, telecomm enclosures, distribution support systems (raceways and pathways), communications cables, user outlets, cable riser systems, patch panels, and mounting hardware.
  • Inspected and proofed existing ducts, raceways, and cable trays; installed, terminated, tested and certified all data and phone drops

  • Completed all design, permitting, easement, installation, termination, splicing and testing task for the project.
  • Fiber outside plant was constructed underground via trenching.
  • Project details included the field engineering; creation of drawings; traffic control planning and implementation; underground support infrastructure placement; fiber placement; hand-hole and other vault placement; locating tasks for existing underground facilities; equipment installation; fiber optic splicing and termination; fiber optic cable testing and certification; environmental management and restoration; and coordinated handoff of services.

Mudslide Cleanup

Santa Barbra County Mudslide Restoration

Tribal One teamed with Betance Enterprises Inc. and Granite Construction for the removal, hauling, and dumping of material that filled the Santa Monica Basin. The Debris, which consisted of trees, mud, large boulders and a 60’ long concrete and steel bridge, had filled the basin during the January 9th Mudslides in the Santa Barbra County. The scope of work included:

Scope Highlights include:

  • 24hr on site work coordination through the length of the project
  • Dewatering the site of standing water
  • Diverting existing water stream around drainage basin to allow for in basin work
  • Cleaning of three drainage towers that were part of the basin design
  • Logging and tracking of the over 9600 truckloads of debris that left the site.
  • Constant coordination with four government agencies (FEMA, USACE, Santa Barbara County Flood Control, California Office of Emergency Services) in an effort to return the basin to a safe and operable level as quickly as possible.

Demolition of existing plumbing fixture connections to storm sewer lines and re-routing of connections to the nearest sanitary sewer.

Scope of work includes:

  • Coordinated and handled all tenant relocation activities
  • Managed all aspects of the environmental procedures contained in the Environmental Program Group (EPG) DFC Excavation Permit
  • Utilized and administered the GSA Security Clearance process necessary for crews working on the project
  • Scheduled construction activities to ensure minimum disruption to facility operations and tenants

Kingsley Field ANG Base, Bldg. 400/404 Telecom Addition

Addition and alteration of existing telecommunication infrastructure, including fiber optic and other low voltage wiring, accomplished for the relocation of personal to occupy buildings 400 and 404. Intranet and phone service capabilities provided to work offices for personnel to perform assigned duties.

Scope highlights include:

  • Completed the outside plant telecommunication and inside building wiring construction for the project. All low voltage wiring for the public announcement system was placed in EMT ducting
  • Placed over 1200 feet of EMT during the Public-Address system installation.

  • Underground included trenching, plowing, and directional bore including a 3,100-foot under-bay crossing.
  • Aerial included multiple overwater spans with a single span of greater than 1100 feet.
  • Project details included the field engineering; creation of drawings; permitting, right of way, and easement application; traffic control planning and implementation; pole attachment make ready; underground and aerial support infrastructure placement; fiber placement to include lashing or other overbuild attachments; hand-hole and other vault placement; locating tasks for existing underground facilities; core drilling; rack and equipment installation; fiber optic splicing and termination; fiber optic cable testing and certification; environmental management and restoration; and coordinated handoff of services.
  • Total fiber placement of nearly 20 miles required for this project.

  • Upgraded and repaired the existing west vehicular ramp and loading dock at the Byron G. Rogers Federal Building, including: Addition of an updated snowmelt system, replacement of the vehicle barricades, installation of new controls and waterproofing the ramp to eliminate existing leaks and associated repairs
  • Construction phased to maintain access to one lane of the vehicular ramp at all times
  • Surveillance system designed and deployed by the team as well as traffic control personnel were utilized to control traffic flow when the vehicular ramp was limited to a single lane only

  • Improved the southern boat ramp and reclaimed and delineated other areas that had been used as additional parking
