Tribal One’s Charleston, SC office announces the award of a competitive total small business set aside to T1 Construction, LLC.

T1 Construction will be part of the South Appalachian Civil Construction (SACC) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) awarded by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS). The five-year, $40 million Design Build/Design Bid Build, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract covers civil engineering construction projects at multiple locations in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.  Most of the work will be located with National Forest boundaries.

Projects mainly will consist of road and other transportation related repair and construction services. They may include other civil engineering construction work typically performed by road construction and excavation contractors. The work performed may include new work, additions, alterations or maintenance and repairs.

“These are exciting times for Tribal One as we take our first steps toward achieving our East Coast operational goals,” said Chris Carter southeast regional director. “We have completed several projects for the National Park Service and have solid reputation with the USFS based on past performance. We believe our inclusion in this MATOC grew from these existing relationships and our ability to put the right team together for each job.

“Our design partner, Michael Baker International, brings world class design experience to the project,” Carter said. “and our additional partner GeoStabilization International is the leading geohazard mitigation firm operating in the United States and Canada. We also have new partners like Reeves Construction Company who are strategically placed near future project locations.”

Carter invites any subcontractor near the Southern Appalachian corridor who is interested in teaming with us on this MATOC, to contact the office at chriscarter@tribal.one to get the conversation started.

The primary NAICS code is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. Other NAICS codes that may be applicable are 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction and 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is $39.5 Million.
