Tribal One selected for security upgrades at Fort Carson

Tribal One is renovating two U.S. Army Counterintelligence buildings at Fort Carson to meet current security and strength requirements.

Tribal One Construction (T1 Construction, LLC) will lead a team of expert partners to provide design/build services to complete the upgrades at the Colorado facilities under a nearly $4 million 8(a) sole source contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Baltimore District.

This project requires repairs to Building 1012 to provide swing space, temporary office or operations space, that will be required when renovations are made to Building 1014. The team will then perform the design and construction work needed to meet current requirements.

Those requirements include construction of a Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF), secure rooms designed and constructed to prevent outside access to discussions or information. Tribal One has past experience meeting the special requirements of these facilities.

“Our team is moving quickly to have the swing space work prepared while the design is completed for Building 1014,” said Anthony F. Freyta, project manager. “Our goal is to create a seamless transition into the construction phase of the project so that there is minimal disruption to the day-to-day activities at Fort Carson. This will require a coordinated effort between Tribal One, Tetra Tech and the client to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the swing space and the design for Building 1014.”

For this project, Tribal One assembled a team that includes Tetra Tech for design services, PLS for mechanical and electrical services, Orion Industrial Services for hazardous materials services, abatement and demolition, Convergint Technologies for security and fire alarm and Commercial Flooring.
