Tribal One supports sustainable domestic lithium-ion battery supply chain

Tribal One has been selected to provide professional support services for a $1.5 billion manufacturing facility being constructed by ENTEK Lithium Separators, LLC in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The project is being financed through a $1.2 billion direct loan from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Loan Programs Office.

Tribal One Professional Services (T1 Services, LLC) will provide cutting-edge solutions for labor compliance and certified payroll processing under a contract with ENTEK with an initial value of $13.5 million.

Services will include compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and apprenticeship mandates that are required under the DOE Advanced Technology Vehicles Loan Program. In addition to meeting apprenticeship and prevailing wage requirements, T1 Services will ensure compliance with U.S. flagged vessel shipping requirements and provide professional billing and draw support as well as an on-site presence during construction when needed.

ENTEK is constructing four buildings covering approximately 1.4 million square feet to manufacture battery separators for lithium-ion battery manufacturers across the U.S.  ENTEK is the only U.S.-owned and U.S.-based producer of ‘wet process’ lithium-ion battery separator materials.
