Dennis, a member of Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene Tribe, is a University of Oregon graduate. As legislative director for the Native American Contractors Association, he battled on behalf of the small-business program that helps tribes secure federal contracts. Since 2016 he has led corporate social responsibility initiatives for Walmart Inc. He chairs the company’s Tribal Voices project, working on recruitment, racial equity and development of Native talent.
