Tribal One Supports HUD’s Manufactured Housing Installation Program Washington, D.C.

United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ...

Tribal One has been awarded a key contract to manage the Manufactured Housing Installation Program (MHIP) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Manufactured Housing Programs (OMHP). This initiative plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant installation of manufactured homes across HUD- administered states.

The project encompasses a wide range of responsibilities designed to strengthen regulatory compliance and improve industry standards. Tribal One will develop comprehensive installation guidelines, oversee installer licensing, and manage targeted training programs. In addition, the team will conduct monitoring and inspection activities, review regulations, and implement outreach efforts to promote awareness and compliance. A centralized data repository and program website will also be established to streamline information sharing and reporting.

The contract includes both transition-in and transition-out phases to ensure continuity of operations. During the transition-in phase, Tribal One assumed control of all program documents, websites, and materials from the previous contractor. At the conclusion of the contract, these resources will be transferred seamlessly to the next program manager.

By managing MHIP, Tribal One is helping HUD maintain its commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within the manufactured housing industry. This work not only supports industry professionals but also enhances the well-being of residents by ensuring homes are installed to the highest standards.
